What is the School Based Wellness Center?
- In house clinic located in the health room that provides FREE preventative and sick visits for ALL students. We see every child whether they have no insurance, Medicaid or Private insurance. We DO NOT collect co pays. The only thing a family needs to do to have their child seen is to register them with the School Based Wellness Clinic.
- Our goal is to decrease absenteeism, instructional time lost due to illness or injury, and emergency room use for minor illnesses and injuries.
- We can assist families in finding a medical home and promote care coordination between to the child's primary care provider and the school-based wellness center clinic (aka me).
- Our nurse practitioner is in person at Ducketts Lane on Monday, Wednesday and Friday BUT I can do telemedicine visits on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Deep Run.
