Long Reach High School is hosting a Fall Clothing Giveaway this Saturday, November 2nd from 9:00am-11:00am. (The line starts at 7:00am.) This is an annual event open to the community with clothing for all ages.
The week of November 25th is designated for Parent Teacher Conferences. Parent Teacher Conferences are a terrific opportunity for staff and parents to partner together for each child’s success. Beginning Monday, November 11th at 4:00pm, you can log into HCPSS Connect to view and select from the time slots provided by the teacher for the conference.
A few reminders about arrival and dismissal are as follows: Any student arriving after 8:50am MUST be signed in by a parent or guardian in the front office. In addition to signing your student in, late arrivals for illness or an appointment require a note from the parent or doctor.
Please remember to send in a note if your child has a change in dismissal procedures. All changes need to be in the office by 2:45pm. After 2:45pm it is very difficult to ensure that the information will get to your student prior to dismissal.
Our November list for coming in and being a Watch DOG can be found here. Thank you to those who have already come in. We are looking forward to seeing even more of you at school! Thank you so much for your time! We hope to see you soon in the halls of Ducketts Lane!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs. Balter and Mrs. Madden

International Night at Ducketts Lane ES!
You are cordially invited to come see, taste, and experience our world!
Join us for International Night at Ducketts Lane ES on November 15th at 6:30pm! We are looking for families to volunteer, join the fun, and share their culture with our community! Let’s all come together to celebrate our community’s diversity through art, food, traditional dress, displays, artifacts, flags, and stage performances from some of the many countries and cultures represented at DLES. If your family would like to represent your country of origin or culture, please RSVP for a table or performance slot.
To RSVP, contact the International Night Committee at DLESInternationalNight@gmail.com, OR return a participant form to school in your student’s folder, OR visit our SignUp Genius HERE by Friday, November 8th.
DLES PTA will be starting a lending closet for children's winter coats this fall! To stock our closet we are collecting donations of gently used children's coats size 4-18. The closet is open to everyone but will predominantly serve our school community.
The closet will be located in the lower stairwell area nearest the front doors (inside the doors marked 3rd/5th). Donations will be collected in a box in between the front doors. Monetary donations for the closet can be made to DLES PTA with "lending closet" on the memo line. We thank you for your support and hope this project is helpful to many of our families!
