Welcome to Ducketts Lane Elementary School! It is with great enthusiasm to be joining a community that has a reputation for coming together to support all students. I look forward to working with all students, staff members and parents to continue to provide an environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth for all children. As principal, I welcome your input and if at any time you have concerns, suggestions, or ideas, please feel free to share them with me.

Shateya Folks

Shateya Folks Assistant Principal shateya_folks@hcpss.org
I am originally from Upstate New York and have lived in Maryland with my husband for 18 years. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my 11 year old son, Matthias and 6-year-old son, Tristan. We also just recently added a new fur baby, Appa, to the Folks family. Appa is our 9 month old yellow lab and is getting big and growing FAST! In my spare time, I love shopping, listening to music, reading a good book, dancing, spending time with my family, traveling and recently started our family hobby of bike riding!!
