We hope that parents/guardians will join us sometime during American Education Week to learn more about a “typical” school day. While we are encouraging our visitors to come on Monday, parents are welcome to come another day if Monday is not possible. Teachers work hard to plan instruction for each subject that follows the curriculum and supports the individual learning needs of students. This is a daily challenge, but it is done with success throughout the building each day due to the outstanding efforts of our DLES staff members. When you visit, please remember that no matter what instruction a teacher plans for the day, the dynamics of the classroom will not be exactly as they are every other day because of the extra people in the room. Thank you for respecting the classroom by turning cellphones to vibrate and carrying on conversations with others outside of the classroom. Please make sure to stop by the office to sign-in. Our Book Fair is also coming soon…November 19th and 20th. This will be in the Media Center so stop in during your conference time! Have a wonderful weekend, Mrs. Balter and Mrs. Madden PTA NEWS International Day event planned for Saturday, Nov. 3rd has been postponed and will be rescheduled for an evening later in the year. If you have any questions, please contact erin.m.nelson@gmail.com. DLES Spiritwear will be sold by the PTA from Nov. 1st-14th. Your child brought home an order form in their Nov. 1st Thursday folder! Parent Volunteers are needed! Our PTA sponsored book fair will take place in the Media Center from 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. during parent/teacher conferences on November 19th and November 20th. Several grade levels are planning trips in November. HCPSS uses Family File for parents/guardians to complete emergency information. Parents/guardians must verify and/or update information for each child, and can do so by logging in to HCPSS Connect and selecting the Family File tab and then clicking on Family File. Parents who have forgotten their login credentials for Family File may click the “Forgot Password” link on the sign in page. If you need additional assistance, please fill out this Connect Help Form.
